SD Series

The KSS SD Series consists of economical bi-directional miniature precision ball screws designed to perform accurate centering and precise positioning using a single screw shaft with left- and right-hand threads. This unique design enables simultaneous bi-directional movement, making the SD Series an ideal solution for compact positioning mechanisms and synchronised linear motion systems.

Available in C3 and C5 accuracy grades, the SD Series delivers high positioning accuracy while offering an attractive cost-performance ratio. The ball screws are manufactured from carburized and hardened SCM415 steel with a surface hardness of HRC 58–62, ensuring excellent wear resistance, rigidity, and long service life.

The standard range is available in shaft diameters from Ø4 to Ø12 mm with 1 mm and 2 mm leads, allowing designers to select the optimum combination for compact automation equipment. The series is supplied with corrosion protection and can be finished with customer-specific shaft-end machining to suit individual applications.
