Lead and acme screws

Thomson Lead and Acme Screws provide reliable, precise, and cost-effective linear motion for a wide range of industrial applications. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel and engineered for long service life, they deliver smooth operation, excellent corrosion resistance, and high positioning accuracy in demanding environments.

As the official Hungarian distributor of Thomson, BIBUS Kft. offers a comprehensive portfolio of lead screws, trapezoidal screws, Glide Screws™, and motorised lead screw assemblies. Our engineers support customers in selecting the optimum lead screw solution based on load, speed, accuracy, duty cycle, and environmental conditions.

The Thomson portfolio includes precision rolled lead screws manufactured from 300 series stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and lead accuracy of up to 0.003 inch per foot. Standard diameters range from 3/16" to 3", while customised end machining is available to simplify installation.

In addition to conventional lead screws, BIBUS Kft. supplies trapezoidal screws with thread diameters from 10–80 mm, pitches from 2–24 mm, and lengths up to 6000 mm. Glide Screws™ combine a lead screw and linear bearing into a single maintenance-free component featuring Thomson's patented Lube-for-Life technology. For compact electromechanical motion systems, motorised lead screw assemblies integrate a hybrid stepper motor and precision lead screw into one space-saving solution.

Whether you are designing automation equipment, packaging machinery, laboratory systems, medical devices, or special-purpose machines, BIBUS Kft. provides expert engineering support to help you select the optimum Thomson lead screw solution.
