The KSS Overlap Type Ball Screw with Ball Spline is a standardized version of the BSSP Series, developed to provide significantly shorter delivery times while maintaining the advantages of an integrated ball screw and ball spline system. Standard products are available from stock, allowing machine builders to reduce development and procurement time.
The Overlap Type combines precise linear positioning with torque transmission in a single compact shaft. By integrating the ball spline directly into the ball screw shaft, the system eliminates the need for separate guide components, resulting in a more compact and rigid linear motion solution.
To increase application flexibility, multiple shaft-end profiles and stroke lengths (thread lengths) can be supplied through shaft-end reworking. Operations such as turning, male thread machining, and other custom shaft-end modifications allow the standard products to be adapted quickly to specific machine designs.
The standard range currently includes the BSSP0610 (Ø6 mm shaft, 10 mm lead) and BSSP0810 (Ø8 mm shaft, 10 mm lead), both manufactured to JIS C5 accuracy with integrated ball spline functionality.
