Hybrid Drive Type

The KSS Hybrid Drive Type combines the advantages of a hollow stepper motor, a standard stepper motor, and an integrated Miniature Ball Screw with Ball Spline (BSSP) in a single compact actuator. This hybrid configuration provides precise linear (Z) and rotary (Θ) motion while maintaining a short overall actuator length.

Like the Tower Type, the Hybrid Drive Type also supports an integrated vacuum (V) function. Vacuum can be supplied through the hollow bore of the ball screw shaft, allowing multiple machine functions to be integrated into one compact actuator.

The combination of hollow and conventional motors enables a highly compact Z-Θ actuator without sacrificing performance. The actuator also supports long-stroke configurations, making it suitable for applications requiring extended travel while maintaining high positioning accuracy.

To provide maximum design flexibility, the Hybrid Drive Type is available with various side-mounted motor configurations, allowing the actuator to be adapted to different machine layouts and installation constraints.
