Belt Drive Type

The KSS Belt Drive Type is a compact multifunctional actuator that combines Miniature Ball Screw with Ball Spline (BSSP) technology with a belt-driven transmission to provide precise linear (Z), rotary (Θ) and vacuum (V) functions within a single compact unit.

Its optimized belt-drive mechanism enables a highly compact actuator body while maintaining excellent positioning accuracy and application flexibility. Depending on the application requirements, different motor sizes and configurations can be selected, allowing the actuator to be tailored to a wide variety of automation systems.

The Belt Drive Type includes the smallest and lightest V-Z-Θ actuator in the KSS portfolio, utilizing a 4 mm Miniature Ball Screw with Ball Spline (BSSP). Despite the extremely small shaft diameter, the actuator still provides an integrated vacuum function through the hollow bore of the screw shaft.

Available with 4 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm Ball Screw diameters, the Belt Drive Type offers travel lengths up to 120 mm, positioning repeatability of ±0.020 mm, rotary repeatability of ±0.03°, linear speeds up to 200 mm/s and rotary speeds up to 3 revolutions per second, depending on the selected model.
