The Series 860 proportional valve integrates nine valves into a compact base block with central air supply. Each valve can be individually actuated and is combined into a single outlet. The PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) control system utilizes 6-bit or 8-bit binary code to achieve 64 or 256 discrete flow rate levels. Combining PCM with PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulation) control enables linear flow across the entire flow range.
The opening and closing time is less than one millisecond. Consequently, all 64 or 256 flow levels can be retrieved or switched between within one millisecond. With a service life of over 500 million switching cycles per valve, continuous valve actuation is possible while maintaining consistent quality.
This enables the realization of up to 256 different, predefined, and precisely repeatable flow rates using PCM technology.
