Nabtesco Strain Wave Gearboxes, also known as harmonic drives, are designed for motion control applications where absolute positioning accuracy is essential. Their unique flexible gear technology provides zero backlash, exceptional repeatability and high reduction ratios in a single stage, while maintaining a compact and lightweight design. These characteristics make them an excellent choice for robotics, medical equipment, precision positioning systems and advanced industrial automation.
The product range includes frame sizes from 35 to 102, gear ratios from 30:1 to 160:1 and torque capacities ranging from 7 Nm up to 28,000 Nm. Both hat-type (HTG) and cup-type (CTG) versions are available, including hollow-shaft Plug & Play configurations. Thanks to their modular design, sensors, encoders and electronic components can easily be integrated into the drive system.
