Dynamic Groove Gas Springs

Thanks to the groove machined into the cylinder tube, the damping characteristics of the gas spring can be tailored very specifically to the requirements of your application.

In this case, damping is not achieved by oil passing through an orifice, as with conventional gas springs, but is controlled by the groove in the cylinder. This results in several advantages: damping in this variant works in all mounting positions. Whether mounted horizontally or with the piston rod facing upward, the damping characteristics remain the same.

Advantages:

  • Corrosion-resistant due to electrostatic powder coating on the body and the CeramPro® treatment on the rod
  • Long service life
  • Protection against vibrations and low radial loads
  • An integrated grease chamber allows positioning and storage in all positions, including horizontal or piston rod upward

Format:

Available in diameters from 6/12 to 10/22 mm, strokes from 40 to 600 mm, and forces from 30 to 1,300 N. Normal or slow speed, normal or strong damping in compression, tension, or both directions.
