Custom Gas Springs (Steel or Stainless Steel)

Custom Gas Springs

Just like standard gas springs, custom gas springs are designed to reduce manual effort. They apply a pushing force when the piston rod extends (compression type), or a pulling force when the piston rod retracts (tension type).

They offer the same key features as BANSBACH standard gas springs:

  • Excellent corrosion resistance thanks to electrostatic powder coating on the cylinder and CeramPro® surface treatment on the piston rod
  • Long service life
  • Vibration protection and resistance to low radial loads
  • Integrated grease chamber for flexible mounting and storage in any position – including horizontal or rod-up

The Gas Spring Designed for Your Needs

You can quickly and easily configure your own custom compression or tension gas spring, tailored to your application and operating environment.

  • Compression Gas Springs
Available in piston rod/cylinder sizes from 3/8 – 30/70 mm, strokes from 10 mm to 1000 mm, forces from 7 N to 12,000 N, and speeds ranging from fast (without damping) to slow (with strong damping).

  • Tension Gas Springs
Available in sizes from 6/15 mm to 14/40 mm, strokes from 10 mm to 300 mm to 200 - 1 000 mm, and forces from 30 N to 8,000 N. Options with or without damping – from standard to low progression.

  • Lockable Tension Gas Springs
Available in sizes from 10/28 mm to 14/40 mm, strokes from 10 mm to 300 mm, and forces from 100 N to 4,000 N.
